What cookies and local storage do
Cookies are small records a website may store in a browser and send with later requests. Local storage is a different browser feature that saves values for a website without automatically attaching them to page requests. Similar privacy rules can apply to both technologies.
What this site code uses
The supplied HTML and JavaScript do not set cookies, load advertising services or include analytics. If you use the preference controls, the site stores one local-storage record named atticurio-cookie-choice, with a value of essential or accept. It records only the selection, not your name, email or message.
The record persists in that browser until you change it, clear it or your browser removes site data. It is not shared automatically between devices or browsers. Selecting “Accept” does not activate tracking: there are currently no optional services to activate. Future optional processing would need its own accurate disclosure and any required consent.
Your stored choice
Both options leave the present site free of optional tracking. “Essential Only” records a restrictive preference. “Clear Choice” removes this site's preference record.
JavaScript is needed to display or change the stored preference. You can also clear site data through your browser settings.
Messages, copying and downloads
The message utility does not store drafts in cookies or local storage. Your browser may independently provide autofill or restore form fields. Clipboard contents and downloaded text files remain under your device's controls. See Privacy for the distinction between a local draft and an email you choose to send.
Hosting and external services
Ordinary hosting requests may be logged for delivery and security. The static page code does not specify hosting-layer cookies or log retention. External websites linked in the notebook apply their own policies when you visit them; they are not embedded as trackers in these pages.
Managing browser data
Use your browser's site-data or privacy settings to inspect and remove cookies and local storage for this domain. Blocking storage prevents a preference from being saved but does not prevent reading the notebook. Private-browsing sessions may discard the record when the session ends.
